The Mansion
Providing a central gathering point, the superbly restored Vailima Mansion is a grand building that carries a sense of nostalgia, warmth and comfort which permeates the entire village. It holds the communal lounges, dining room, library, recreation room, hairdressing salon, theatre room and service facilities.
Parking and storage
For the convenience of residents and visitors, we have a large undercover carpark which is accessible via an extra large lift to each floor. Some units come with storage for personal items. Parking and charging bays for mobility scooters are also available.
The Recreation Room
Our newly completed purpose-built recreation room has only the residents in mind. Whether playing Scrabble, Mah Jong, or enjoying a delicious morning tea with scones topped with jam and cream, it is a great place to relax and socialise. Enjoy a drink and nibbles at the bar where the Management generously host a Happy Hour once a month. Play some pool or watch a movie in the Theatre Room on the huge 60 inch LCD television. Visitors are welcome to come and dine-in or relax in any of the lounges, and join in on the fun!
The Grounds
As its name suggests, the grounds of Vailima Gardens is one of its best features. A fusion between traditional English-style gardens and the best of native Australian bushland, its meticulously maintained communal and private gardens expand across the entire estate with a grand fountain forming a centrepiece. Our rose bushes have been grown from age-old root stock, and set off other plants such as lavender, lovely established trees, along with native South Australian plants, which attract an abundant array or bird life to the grounds. For those who really love the outdoors, the Adelaide Botanical Gardens are also just across the road.
The Kitchen
Our modern kitchen provides two home-style cooked meals per day served in our beautiful atrium dining room. Meals can be delivered to apartments if required and we can also cater for special appetites and dietary requirements.

24-hour a day emergency response systems
A pharmacy offers a once-daily delivery service; doctor consultancy rooms are available for onsite special appointments
A quality laundry service is provided by arrangement with any of our friendly staff. The two and three bedroom apartments have their own laundry facilities. A coin-operated laundry is available for larger items and general use
Hairdressing is available by appointment in our private hairdressing salon
A communal bus is also available for outings and functions
We also have respite available from time to time.
